Reporting to Senior Manager MI Planning, the national Loan Guarantee Scheme Funding Manager will be responsible for managing Santander Corporate, Commercial and Business Banking's participation in the National Loan Guarantee Scheme from a Finance MI perspective. The role also incorporates providing finance support to SCCBB's participation in other government initiatives.

As a National Loan Guarantee Scheme Funding Manager, your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
- Qualified accountant (ICAEW, CIMA, ACCA, ACA or similar) with significant demonstrable post qualified experience
- Experience of working in the business in addition to central finance teams
- Good analytical kills, with focus on attention to detail
- Excellent communications skills and the ability to present solutions and rationale to finance and non-finance professionals at all levels
- Experience in financial modelling
- Understanding of funding markets from a banking perspective
As a National Loan Guarantee Scheme Funding Manager, your main responsibilities will involve:
- Monthly and Quarterly Compliance Reporting
- Managing Santander UK's relationship with government departments as part of the NLGS
- Co-ordinating Santander UK team's involvement in NLGS participation - working closely with ALM traders, business development, press office
- Co-ordinating SCCBB finance teams to ensure that data / processes are in place to support NLGS
- Compliance with NLGS rules and managing the reporting of NLGS MI to HMT / DMO
- Ownership of other government backed funding schemes (EIB, EFG)
- Responsibility for supporting the marketing team by providing suitable tools to support the front line relationship directors in ensuring compliance with state aid rules
- Ad-hoc projects as required from time to time
