Corporate Financial Services (CFS) is part of the Business and Private Banking (BPB) business unit of the Commonwealth Bank. The CFS team serves over 12,000 clients with complex financial needs and over $10m in revenue. The division is well placed to provide medium and large companies with access to a wide range of financial services with approximately 800 professionals in nearly 50 locations across Australia.
The Industry Banking Specialists team (IBS), which is part of CFS, provides fresh thinking and expertise in the following key critical areas of our clients' businesses:
- Working capital management with flexible and innovative Transaction Banking solutions;
- Capital expenditure management with our range of Asset Finance solutions; and
- Industry insights to help our clients navigate changing market conditions.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
The National Manager of Professional Services which will focus on the Accounting Legal professions, will be responsible for:
- Industry Research - which involves the gathering and distillation of relevant and key industry data/research from a variety of sources to determine market trends, key drivers, competitor offers and industry opportunities.
- You will be an Advisor to selected Corporate Banking centres and staff to determine, develop and implement strategies for growth in the Accounting Legal professions;
- You will be responsible for Content Management to determine from industry research, the key insights and how best to communicate this throughout BPB and to our clients
- You will be an Industry Advocate, in which you will develop strong relationships with key industry and internal stakeholders, and will prepare and pitch to potential or new clients and will be the representative of the industry within BPB.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
From your extensive experience in the Accounting Legal sector, you have developed outstanding skills in strategic planning, research and analysis, stakeholder management, advisory, commercial acumen and have strong verbal, written and presentation skills. You will ideally have Financial Services experience and/or a strong understanding and acumen of the banking industry. You will demonstrate the skills required to play a key leadership and cultural role within this team, and will be a strategic thinker to stimulate thought leadership for the benefit of the team, with the ability to liaise with people at all levels in the organisation. A tertiary qualification from any discipline is a minimum requirement, and a post graduate qualification would be held in high regard.
