Due to ongoing success, the team is expanding with the addition of this integral role.
Work as a member of a motivated team of Analysts and Business Developers to support the origination of transactions in the Natural Resources sector. The successful applicant will be responsible for the identification and in-depth analysis of growth opportunities in the Natural Resources sector, supporting the targeting programme and contributing to the strategic initiatives of the Natural Resources team. The position will report to one of the senior members of the Natural Resources analytical team.
Major Accountabilities of Position Include:
- Assist the Business Development team in the identification of business opportunities and customer acquisition through proactive research
- Continuously improve demonstrate understanding of customers and targets in the portfolio to support the achievement of revenue targets
- Provide effective deal support through accurate and thorough research analysis
- Protect WIB's assets by applying sound credit management practices
- Your main focus will be on:
- Research (customers industry sectors - maintaining disseminating research to facilitate effective target identification. Providing industry expertise to assist the marketing process)
- Analysis (risk profiling, financial analysis related credit submission activities - completing within agreed timeframes to support deal origination)
- Supporting the Business Development Managers in their marketing efforts by attending customer meetings and conferences
- Collaboration (information sharing working relationships) and contribute to the completion of strategic selling papers and other team initiatives
Knowledge and Experience
- A relevant tertiary qualification (Engineering, Finance or Accounting preferred).
- Prior experience in Natural Resources in either a Project Finance or Advisory role.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong team player.
- A high level of commercial awareness/business acumen.
- Experience in financial analysis.
- A reasonable level of banking Product knowledge.
- A strong interest in the Natural Resources sector.
