NDE Technician
Non-destructive (NDE) Testing Specialist needed for a leading manufacturer in Oklahoma City. 2nd Shift. Must also have experience in UT level II ultrasonic shear wave per ASNT-TC-1A and magnetic particle testing and penetrant testing. Proof of cert or experience will be required. This is a full time direct hire position offering competitive hourly rate and benefits. Local candidates only!
Responsibilities
- Performs required NDE (non destructive testing), issues finding reports, maintains files for traceability, and trains other team members.
- Generate quality measurement metrics and maintain ISO 9001:2000API Q1 Quality Management System.
- Inspect products manufactured or processed to ensure compliance with drawing and process specifications, i.e. First Article Inspections, In-Process Inspections and Final Inspections.
- Generate variety of document databases, distribution and revision control lists, customer documentation packages
- Sets up and uses inspection equipment
Requirements
- Associates Degree (or higher) with at least 3 years applicable experience, or High School Diploma with minimum 5 years applicable experience.
- MUST HAVE Experience in UT level II ultrasonic shear wave per ASNT-TC-1A. Documentation of certification will be required.
- Must have current Level II certification in magnetic particle testing and penetrant testing with a minimum of 2 years applicable experience utilizing this level of certification. Working knowledge of inspection tools and standard equipment is a must.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as department work instructions, blue prints, process code documents, computer software manuals, safety rules, employee handbook and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and perform validation testing.
- Requires basis mathematical skills, rational reasoning ability. Must be able to lift or carry up to 35 pounds.
