YOUR ROLE:

This is a “hands on” but strategic role in a decentralized purchasing environment.  The “mission” for this position is, of course, to obtain goods and services at the lowest cost possible while achieving vital business objectives around quality, timing and service. Successful candidate will be able to “reengineer” the procurement process by examining current processes, improving those processes and systems and managing the new system effectively.  This includes managing the personalities and political aspects as well as the technology tools and people.

BACKGROUND PROFILE:

• Bachelor’s Degree; MBA helpful
• Professional supply chain certifications a plus
• 10+ years of experience executing sourcing projects within a construction environment
• 5+ years managing centralized and decentralized procurement teams
• Experience transforming and implementing supply chain processes
• Ability to work effectively with strong personalities throughout company
• High proficiency with all MS Office software
• Self-motivated, self-directed
