Our client is a well-established, indigenous Irish Localisation Service Provider. We provide a portfolio of localisation services including: translation to over 100 languages, internationalisation, software engineering, software testing, document publishing, multilingual SEO and machine translation post‑editing to many of the world’s leading software publishers.

 

Our client recently became a founding member of the World Wide Web Consortium’s Multilingual Web – Language Technologies Working Group (W3C MLW-LT). We are looking for a self‑motivated, naturally talented developer to implement the necessary software to allow us to integrate standards proposed by the Working Group with internal systems (via data exchange components) and external supply chain participants via WCF/Web API 4 Services.

 

This position will offer the successful applicant the opportunity to work with the International Web Standards authority and world class academics. Candidates must have direct experience of building and deploying RESTful WCF/Web API 4 Services that have successfully interfaced with .NET and non‑.NET clients. Applicants must demonstrate the highest levels of .NET Framework, C# language and jQuery knowledge and be able to work to the highest levels of technical craftsmanship and reliability.

 

 

Main Duties Responsibilities:

 

Ø       All stages of development including specification, design, development, implementation and testing.

Ø       Documentation of requirements, use cases and technical implementation.

Ø       Write elegant, clear, concise, well documented code that meets specifications and user requirements.

Ø       Carry out initial testing to ensure compliance with specifications and user requirements.

Ø       Attend code reviews and maintain version control.

 

Requirements:

 

Ø       Degree in Computer Science or Certified Microsoft Developer qualification.

Ø       2 year’s previous experience of RESTful WCF 4 Web Services.

Ø       Fluent in ASP.NET MVC, LINQ, XML, jQuery, JSON, RDF, AJAX charting library.

Ø       Experience of the new ASP.NET Web API 4 a distinct advantage.

Ø       Experience of Agile development techniques and process an advantage.

Ø       Good knowledge of Regular Expressions.

Ø       Understanding of the localisation process or a second geographic language an advantage.

Ø       Willingness to travel.
