.Net, C# Developer – Trading Apps – Hedge Fund – Boston recruitment
The development team develops and enhances applications used by all parts of the trading business, from trading and risk to order management, accounting and finance. You'll assist in the design, construction and enhancement of a range of front-end applications used across this group.
In addition to this, you will be part of a collaborative and industrious group of technologists who aim to be at the top of their game, by collaborating within one of the many projects that are running simultaneously (up to 75 running at once) you will ensure that you are constantly learning and striving for the best solutions to the varied and sometimes abstract problems presented to you.
Candidates with a computer science or similar technology oriented degree will be considered for this role, experience is necessary but specific financial sector product knowledge is not mandatory. If you have worked in a Microsoft environment for 2 years or more where technology is the driver of the business, then you will be in a strong position for this role.
Applied knowledge of C#, Silverlight.NET is required, as is ASP.NET and strong database skills (SQL Server).This environment requires people to be communicative and collaborative and so during the interview process, particular attention will be paid to your verbal communication and your ability to explain advanced technical processes in simplified terms. In addition, the ability to manage projects and work within a team environment will be critical to being successful in this role.
Requirements:
Bachelors and Masters degrees in a related technical area (computer science preferred).
Silverlight experience or WPF with experience in web development and a willingness to learn Silverlight.
C# programming to expert level (.NET)
Perfect language skills (English written and spoken)
strong database skills SQL Server
2 Years plus working in an advanced Microsoft environment
