Job Description:
.NET Developer - C# - Full-Time/Permanent Position
A global Business Management Consulting firm is in need of a .NET Developer for its Software Application Advisory Services division based out of Chicago.
The firm's Software Services practice helps its clients select or develop, and implement value added software solutions.
What you will be doing:
•Design, develop, enhance, and test client applications as part of product development cycle
•Understand business requirements and develop applications including highly appealing GUI that meet those requirements for new and existing products
•Research, design, document, and modify software specifications throughout the product life cycle
•Team with Project Manager, Architect and client personnel to communicate status and results on a timely basis
Requirements:
•Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline (e.g. MIS, Engineering, Computer Science or related technical degree) required
•3+ years of experience with strong emphasis on user interface design and web application development using MICROSOFT technologies, including ASP.NET (Web Forms and MVC) and C#
•Significant portion of above experience working for a technology consulting firm or software product company
•Experience with developing databases on Microsoft SQL Server
•Demonstrate skills in data structures and algorithms, coding, and formal test techniques
•Demonstrate ability to develop rapid prototypes and proof of concepts for evaluation of new GUI strategies
Preferred skills:
•Understanding of enterprise scale n-Tier systems built on Microsoft technologies
•Experience with developing XML web services using ASP.Net or Windows Communication Foundation services
•Experience with commercial software application development
•Experience with service oriented design
•Experience with using and administering common Web Servers including IIS
•Experience developing applications on the Microsoft SharePoint platform
•Experience with using and developing reports in SQL Server Reporting Services
•Experience with developing desktop applications using WPF or Windows Forms
Ability to travel:
•Significant out-of-town travel requirements may be required, based upon client needs and organizational initiatives.
