Job Description:

This is a contract-to-hire position.

Our client is located in beautiful Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and is one of the nation’s largest agencies and a recognized retail brand builder, a leading global provider with more than 1,100 full-time associates and offices throughout the country, including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas and Atlanta. They are seeking a strong .NET 4.0 developer with C#, WCF, and MVC frameworks to join their organization.

What you'll be doing in this dynamic lead position:

Overall Objective:

The Senior .NET Developer oversees a small software development team, serves as the development technology expert and champions new development processes and methodologies.

Day to Day Duties:

•Acts as the development technology expert and technical resource to other staff in the development team
•Lead technical design, development and code reviews for the work-product produced by a team of software engineers both onshore and offshore
•Must be “hands on” to resolve issues as they surface as well as handle new development as/when needed
•Work with various departments and executives in a business analyst capacity to understand, document and create business requirements which in turn will drive the design of quality, programmatically-developed technical solutions using various programming languages
•Develop applications and web based solutions through all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including solution design, development, implementation, and production support
•Responsible for ensuring correct administration and configuration of the Development, QA, Staging and Production environments
•Participates in the requirements gathering, requirements analysis, design, code, test and maintenance phases of software product development in a leadership capacity
•Participates in estimation and project planning activities related to development projects
•Maintain project deadlines as required
•Manage multiple projects simultaneously, and take on new projects with agility.

What you need for this position:

- 10+ years of software design, development and architectural experience on multiple platforms; management experience a plus
- Expertise in C#, .NET 4.0, WCF, and MVC frameworks
- Expert level experience in Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD), Design Patterns (GOF, MVC, etc.), Dependency
- Injection / Inversion of Control (IOC), Aspect Oriented Programming (AOP), and traditional Enterprise Application Integration (EAI)
- Detailed understanding of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Batch/Event Driven Architecture (EDA), Test Driven Development (TDD), Continuous Integration, and Refactoring.
- Expert TSQL skills, including writing functions and stored procedures in SQL Server
- Able to work independently while managing staff and keeping them abreast of milestones, dependencies and issues
- Proficient in gathering clear requirements from executives for application development and anticipating their true needs and wants
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability and willingness to keep complete documentation for the projects involved, excellent communication skills and ability to translate data into business needs are also a part of this position.
- Must feel comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic and flexible environment with changing requirements
- Bachelor’s of Science in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience
