Our client, one of the nation's fastest growing scientific laboratories, is currently seeking a .NET Developer to join their team. This person will be responsible for creating a web-based customer portal which will allow clients to access test results and account information.
This position will be working directly with the VP of IT in developing this new project, and have a significant opportunity to impact the success of the organization.
No third party vendors please. Candidates must be able to work on W-2 and the client is not able to sponsor any candidates.
Ideal candidates must have:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
- At least 5-7 years of application development experience
- 3 to 5 years of Visual Studio .NET experience
- 3 to 5 years of experience in writing SQL queries / stored procedure
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Resourceful, creative and innovative in diagnosing and solving technical and business problems
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Enthusiastic and positive attitude towards the tasks at hand and with internal/external users/clients.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop database-driven and web-based applications using C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET, Web Services, SQL Server
- Debug and maintain programs/code throughout the various stages of software development.
- Generate complex stored procedures in SQL-server.
- Use software design technologies, best practices, etc.
- Work collaboratively with team members to design and implement supportable and flexible solutions
- Develop system interface programs
