Adecco Engineering and Technical, a division of the world leader in the recruitment of engineering and information technology professionals, has an immediate opening for a Web Solutions Engineer (Junior to Mid Level) on a Contract opportunity with a leading company in Palo Alto, CA.

Jobtitle: Web Solutions Engineer (junior to mid-level experience)
Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:30pm (or some slight variation thereof)
Start date: immediately
Work location: Palo Alto, CA 94304

Job Mission: Assist department team members with the design, development and support of web and e-banking applications which are integrated with other e-businesses and legacy applications. Work collaboratively with various business units, IT team members, and enterprise applications and operations team members to create and deploy secured web solutions.

Job Knowledge, Skills Abilities Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of recent experience designing, developing and supporting secured web applications using ASP.Net 2.0, Visual Studio.net, Visual Basic, Javascript, XML/XSLT, Dreamweaver, MSSQL2000, scripting languages required.
  • Experience developing applications using .Net Framework and Visual Basic or C# required.
  • Experience working with security protocols including SSL and IPSEC.
  • Experience working with SQL and Oracle stored procedures.
  • Experience working with sniffers, protocol analyzers, tcpdump and tracers etc.
  • Proven ability to quickly learn and apply new technology.
  • Proven teamwork, collaboration and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent customer satisfaction and service skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas, designs and issues to both technical and non-technical staff.
  • Self-motivated; able to demonstrate initiative.

  • License/Certification Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent.
  • Primary Duties Responsibilities (80%):

  • Designing, developing, integrating and testing Online Banking and web Applications
  • Assist IT team members with software development cycle, including reviewing requirements, specifications and designs, test planning, test execution, debugging, verification and deployment.
  • Installation and configuration of software, writing code, unit testing, debugging problems, verifying fixes, writing technical documentation and supporting applications.
