Applications Developer

 

This position reviews, analyzes, and modifies midrange and web based business systems including encoding, testing, debugging and installing for midrange and distributed computing environments.  Also works with project members to develop specifications, diagrams and flowcharts, and standardizes the quality assurance procedure for software.

 

**Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or equivalent     

work experience.  Four years of work experience in midrange area.  Also must have a commitment

to continuing  education.

 

 

Technical Competencies:

v  Competent in one or more modern programming languages (C#, Visual Basic, Java, C++)

v  Strong working knowledge of .NET framework

v  Strong working knowledge of SQL query 2005, 2008

v  Entity Framework

v  LINQ

v  Proficient in Agile delivery techniques desirable

v  Knowledge of SDLC and Project Life Cycle principles

v  Strong working knowledge of Visual Studio and modern code repository products

v  Working knowledge of web development design languages, scripting tools, and protocols such at HTML, XML, HTTP, HTTPS, ASP, CSS, AJAX, Java Script

v  Working knowledge of client-side and server-side scripting
