About the role

The role holder will work within the Technology team, taking business requirements and translating them into technical and functional designs. Producing and maintaining application code and providing support to testing cycles ensuring that defects are resolved. They will also support the development of future systems strategy and technology plans for Barclays and ensure that the Barclays group software standards are maintained and adhered to in all proposed solutions.

The successful candidate will also spend a smaller percentage of their time providing support for applications supported by the development team.

About you

The role holder will be able to demonstrate competence with the following technologies:  C#, WPF, ASP.NET2, .NET (2.0-4), SQL Server 2008.  It is highly advantageous to have experience in WIX, Visual Basic (VB6), COM/COM+, SOAP or JavaScript.

A strong analytical mind and an understanding of the financial services environment are advantageous.
