Aquent is seeking an individual to be part of a larger team, supporting critical software product development for a Fortune 200 company. This software product which is deployed in 100+ locations will be undergoing aggressive change to modernize the technical platform, integrate it with enterprise systems and third-party applications and create additional features. This 2-3 year long project is a challenging opportunity for the right professional.
Responsibilities:
Architect, design and develop scalable, flexible SOA framework for application integration,
Componentize existing business logic and make it available as web services,
Advise team on architectural best practices and create prototypes,
Create automated test cases,
Document technical design using UML methodology,
Mentor other team members with hands-on development work,
Other Requirements:
Skills:
Must be detail oriented and must demonstrate deep sense of ownership
Strong communication and collaboration skills
At least 10 years of software development experience
6+ years of application development experience using Microsoft .NET and C#
4+ years of distributed, n-tier application development experience using .NET Framework 3.0 or higher
3+ years of hands-on enterprise SOA development experience of which at least two years must be using Windows Communication Foundation (WCF 3.5 or 4)
3+ years of ASP.NET web application development experience
3+ experience in a lead technical role on medium to large .NET projects
Experience designing and creating nUnit test cases
Strong database development experience
Experience with PowerBuilder development is a plus
Experience in Agile development team following Scrum methodology
One or more of following skills, while not required are highly desirable:
- Prior experience in migrating PowerBuilder applications to Microsoft .Net framework,
Development experience using nHibernate or ADO.Net Entity Framework,
Application integration using MSMQ,
Experience in developing Silverlight based user interface,
Relevant Microsoft Certifications.
