COMPANY INFORMATION
My client is an established leader in the field of fitness and sports who are now looking to recruit for an experienced Web Developer with exceptional VB.Net programming language skills.
ROLE INFORMATION:
You will be responsible for the continued development and evolution of the corporate website, fully maximising the return on investment and internal intranet according to the required specification.
Key duties Responsibilities:
• Develop corporate websites
• Provide data exchanges between the relational database systems and the web interfaces
• Regular monitoring of the website to ensure technical performance, integrity and security is maintained
• Act as the internal web consultant working with the marketing function regarding web development and search engine optimisation
• Management of the hosted web server, ensuring performance is optimised at all times
• Be responsible for integrating the SQL Server database with the company website
• Work with nominated web partners to ensure translation of business requirements is fully understood
• Graphic design will also play an important part of this role, ensuring the design of all web pages maintains the look, feel and animation in line with marketing requirements
Experience Required:
• A proven record of Web and Database Development skills
• Must have experience of VB.Net, ASP.net, ASP, C#, Visual Studio, JavaScript, IIS, CSS and HTML
• Strong database knowledge of SQL Server 2005 and TSQL
• Experience of Web Management tools/utilities and Google Analytics
• E-Commerce experience is essential
• Strong experience of writing Feature Specification documents
• Excellent communication skills
• Web/Graphic Design skills would be desirable
