Looking for a Storage Architect with over 12 Years of experience and Minimum 8 Years relevant working knowledge of Enterprise-class IBM, NetApp or any other Storage boxes
Good Exposure on Monitoring and Replication Strategies (Business Copy, Continuous Access)
- Perform root cause analysis
- Troubleshooting technical issues
- Defining processes and ensuring that the processes are adhered to
- Oversees and is responsible for successful completion of Installation, configuration and migration
- Ensure maximum uptime according to the SLA
- Understanding of Multi-geo support environment
- Responsible for building / maintaining a test environment
- Responsible for strategizing a backup plan and test plan for failure scenario
- Improves and maintains customer and employee satisfaction
- Suggests new technologies and design changes
- Monitoring and maintaining SLA requirements by the team members
- Suggesting patches/upgrades to maintain security level
- Testing / Auditing/processes as required from time to time
- Identify Skill gaps and plan for training / knowledge updating
Ability to manage SAN/NAS infrastructure.
Ability to provision storage and SAN resources, diagnose application connectivity and performance issues, and capacity plan the infrastructure.
Strong Knowledge of IBM DS / ESS and NetApp FAS Series
Strong knowledge of IBM / NetApp hardware and management platforms..
Good Exposure on Monitoring and Replication Strategies (ENGINIO, TPC, Global Copy, Metro Mirror, SnapMirror, Operations Manager, Insight Manager)
Strong knowledge of Virtual provisioning, Consistency Group and FlexVols
Strong knowledge of technologies including MPIO, Virtual and Physical copies, Remote Copies
Must possess strong SAN switching skills.
Provide daily, weekly and monthly storage status reports.
Comfortable in opening case with IBM / NetApp and driving them to closure.
Liaise and work with hardware/software vendors and project groups as required.
Analyze and resolve escalated problems within target. Trouble shooting Storage related problems and alerts monitoring.
Should work with vendor on new trends and measure to cut cost, time and improve productivity.
