NetBackup Storage Backup Technician Job in Plano 75024, Texas Us
• Configuration, management and operation of NetBackup Master/Media servers.
• Installation and configuration of NetBackup client and server packages on customer servers.
• Maintenance of all HW / SW components (NetBackup, EMC Data Domain, ACSLS)
• Participate in migration of NetBackup clients from tape library environments to new Data Domain infrastructure.
• Storage Lifecycle management in the existing NetBackup environment
• Development and implementation of new Backup solutions
• Create and administer backup documentation and layout
• Collaboration with other internal teams to support the customer projects
• Possesses a strong understanding of backup and recovery principles and practices
• Proficient in use of Unix, Red Hat Linux and Windows Server
• Minimum 3 years experience with Symantec NetBackup 6.x or higher
• Minimum 1 year experience with EMC Data Domain
• Possesses a strong understanding of database and storage technologies
• Technical understanding of Fiber Channel SAN technologies including SAN zoning
• Technical understanding of IP technologies including name resolution, routing and firewalls
