JOB DESCRIPTION
Seeking a Network Administrator with weekend availability for a full-time position. This detail-oriented role will maintain computer systems and servers by installing, maintaining and upgrading servers. This includes supporting hardware, server backups and server security for a 24/7 nationally broadcasted jewelry company.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
· Maintains and administers computer networks and related computing environments including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations.
· Performs data backups and disaster recovery operations.
· Diagnoses, troubleshoots, and resolves hardware, software, or other network and system problems, and replaces defective components when necessary.
· Executes network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware.
· Configures, monitors, and maintains email applications or virus protection software.
· Operates master consoles to monitor the performance of computer systems and networks, and to coordinate computer network access and use.
· Loads computer tapes and disks, and installs software and printer paper or forms.
· Configures, and tests computer hardware, networking software and operating system software.
· Monitors network performance to determine whether adjustments need to be made, and to determine where changes will need to be made in the future.
· Confers with network users about how to solve existing system problems.
SKILLS OR EXPERIENCE
· Minimum 2 years experience with hands-on network administration.
- Must have a least one of these certifications: Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE) and Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
- Windows Domain Administration (DNS, Active Directory, Domain Policies).
- Active Directory Domain migration experience.
- Must have had lead role in design and implementation of Active Directory systems.
- Implementation expertise with SharePoint a must.
- Great understanding of Windows Server Administration.
- Knowledge of Windows IIS Administration.
- Outlook and Exchange experience.
- Experience with Tape Backup Software.
- Comprehension of Network/LAN Management.
- Must have advance knowledge with:
- SAN
- Virtualization
- Cisco Firewall
- Bandwidth Aggregator
- .SQL Administration
- Backup and recovery of AD, maintenance, performance and security monitoring.
- Group Policy Administration.
- VB Scripting and PowerShell.
- Ability to diagnose problems and research for solutions.
- Strong written communication and documentation skills.
- Great experience of back and restore of data.
- Willingness to work all shifts.
- Local candidates preferred.
EDUCATION
BA/BS degree with two(2) years progressive experience; and/or combination of education, training, and experience which evidences a thorough knowledge of medium sized data networks.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· VMWare Experience.
· Windows Software Update Services.
· SMTP and spam filtering.
· TCP/IP.
· Experience working directly with executives or senior management team.
