My client provide seamless automated multi-market access with a premier ranking on the European exchanges. They have specialist knowledge and experience in derivatives trading and a very strong industry reputation.
They are currently seeking a Network Administrator to manage the production environment their main London office. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the networks are monitored and maintained to the highest standards, take responsibility for data flow within the organisation and contribute to the strategic decision making process.
In addition to having the required skills as a network engineer, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an interest in the practical application of the role and should be willing to pick up new industry specific skills. These would include gaining an understanding of the back office flow and the associated risk management and trade processing applications.
The network environment is primarily constructed from Cisco Catalyst 3750, 49xx and 65xx series switches and 18xx, 28xx and 38xx series routers, Juniper Ex4200, Arista 71xx, Cisco NEXUS 5k, 2k and ASA 5510, 5515
Essential Experience:
* Cisco IOS and NexOS
* ACL configuration
* Spanning tree configurations
* FEX extensions
* DOT1q trunking
* VLAN and VTP configuration
* PIM (dense/sparse) and multicast routing
* BGP, EIGRP, HSRP and VRRP
* ASDM Manager
Desirable Skills:
* OSPF, RIP
* Arista EOS
* Junos
