A New Orleans based IT consulting firm is looking to hire a network consultant ASAP! The chosen candidate will manage networks for small to medium sized businesses in the Greater New Orleans area. We are seeking a candidate that works well under pressure, has good troubleshooting skills and can operate with minimal supervision.

Requirements:
- Expert on desktop technologies such as Windows XP, Windows 7, Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, Desktop Deployment and Imaging.
- Well versed on server technologies such as Windows Server 2003/2008.
- Experience with messaging solutions such as Exchange 2003-2010 and hosted Exchange.
- Excellent desktop and server troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to learn new technologies very quickly.
- Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware, Citrix and/or Hyper-V.
- Ability to setup firewalls, routers and switches i.e. (Sonicwall, Cisco ASA, HP, Netgear).
- Experience working as a service provider or consultant for small to medium businesses.
Desired but not required:
- Experience with VDI technologies such as VMware View, Citrix XenDesktop/VDI in a box.
- Knowledge of high level routing protocols such as EIGRP, OSPF, ARP.
- Technical certifications.
