We are currently seeking 2 experienced Network Engineers for a 3-6 months contract role starting immediately.

Essential Expertise:

1.    5-7 years of commercial experience in IT/Network Engineering coupled with professional qualifications in Computer Science or Electronics Engineering.
2.    Extensive experience and specialist skills in the configuration and maintenance of networking/communications infrastructure, including the ability to support a variety of technologies.
3.    Good knowledge of industry standards and government regulations relevant to data communications / networking.
4.    Strong understanding of emerging technologies in the communications sphere and their potential commercial application.
5.    Strong skills in Router Hardware/Software, Switch Hardware/Software, SNA/MVS, Frame Relay, ATM, Protocols (TCP/IP / IPX / IBM), Routing Protocols, Firewalls.
6.    Intermediate project management skills and an ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
7.    Excellent troubleshooting/problem solving skills.
8.    Advanced operational knowledge of networking systems and software covering both Local Area Networks (LANs) and Wide Area Networks (WANs).
9.    Excellent written and oral communication skills coupled with a customer service orientation.
10. Strong interpersonal, leadership and mentoring skills, including the ability to influence and coach people effectively.
11. Experience of Microsoft Active Directory, VMWare virtualisation and SAN technologies.
  
 Desirable Skills:

1.    Appropriate Cisco Certification (e.g. CCIE, CCNA)
2.    Certification in MCSE, CNA or equivalent technical qualification.
3.    Experience with System / Application Monitoring tools
4.    Experience with Linux based operating systems.
5.    Working knowledge of Microsoft Exchange.
6.    Knowledge of ITIL Foundations.
7.    Knowledge of the Health Insurance industry.
