Network Engineer / Hosting Engineer
A Network / Hosting Engineer is required to join this growing Leeds based organisation.
Working within a team environment you will undertake technical support responsibilities within a hosting environment along with taking on some application and database support responsibilities.
You will need to have proven commercial experience within a similar role, preferably gained within a hosting / ISP environment. You skills will cover Networking (Firewalls, Routers, Switches, Subnetting, IP, DNS, Layer 2 and Layer 3 skills), Server Hardware experience (HP Proliant, RAID, Rack mounting) and general skills covering a mix of the following; Windows OS, Linux OS, Exchange, Enterprise Backup.
Experience of working within a data centre infrastructure would be desirable and exposure to any of the following areas would be desirable; UPS, N+1 Architecture, Climate Control Systems, Cable management.
In addition to the core skills mentioned above, this role will involve working within a database / application environment and experience in any of the following areas would be advantageous; SQL Server, Oracle. LAMP, PHP, ASP, IIS, Clustering Services. On call (1 week in 4) responsibilities will form part of this role
