Network Engineer Job in Reston 20191, Virginia Us

TEKsystems has partnered with a large firm in search of a consultant with a Network Engineering background, to support a unique initiative in Northern, VA. The Technical Support Engineer will work independently to provide Level 2 and some Level 3 technical support to end users and Partners in the use of their TANDBERG Video Teleconference equipment and Cisco products to include Endpoint (Desktop), Infrastructure and Unified Communications products. Technicians will also troubleshoot typical complementary equipment from other vendors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Respond to approximately 10 - 15 customer trouble reports called in to the 866 Customer Service Center;
- Operate a trouble ticket system designed to identify customer service issues;
- Provide remote diagnostics and take corrective action as defined by the Service/Maintenance Agreement;
- Track repeat problems and provide reports to the Technical Service Manager and Product Manager;
- Identify recurring problems that may require design changes and develop test plan to produce a resolution;
- Work with RD to resolve possible recurring issues;
- Coordinate the customers resources to ensure that hardware and software faults are resolved to customer’s satisfaction;
- Works with other vendors’ equipment in the direction of specialization and certification;
- Participates in technical writing of Application Notes and White Papers;
