Kelly IT Resources is seeking a full-time, direct-hire Network Engineer. The Network Engineer designs network solutions to help meet company goals and industry standards.This position requires a strong understanding of telecommunications and network technology,hardware, software, and services to ensure proactive monitoring and maintenance of client network environments. Solid leadership experience in designing networks and technologies using various telecommunication technologies, including but not limited to: MPLS, Wireless, Firewalls and broadband solutions with VPN. Requirements: 1. Experience in supporting large, enterprise class, complex local area networks (LAN) and coreData Center networks is necessary. 2. Experience with Cisco products including most routers, firewalls, wireless, switches, and other products is essential. 3. Experience with Juniper firewall/VPN appliances and VOIP is beneficial. 4. Analyze network information to determine, recommend and plan network troubleshooting to maximize network uptime. 5. Demonstrate high level of vendor management skills. 6. Provide technical leadership in all aspects of efficient network design and troubleshooting to maximize network uptime. 7. Document all changes to network configuration and procedures. 8. Maintain availability of the WAN/LAN using various monitoring tools and work with appropriate carrier/vendor when required. 9. Develop Microsoft Project plans and business case for all major enterprise network projects. Education: Bachelor?s degree in Business Administration or Computer Sciences or related fields, Advanced Studies a plus. Cisco CCNA or higher certification is required. Experience: The ideal candidate should have 3+ years experience. Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to interact with business and technology groups, as well as a keen attention to detail. Excellent time and project management skills, the ability to work as part of a team as well as independently, and the ability to set and manage multiple projects with competing priorities. Demonstrated ability to plan and deliver value-added services on schedule, on budget, on quality, and exceeding expectations of customers. Ability to collaborate with peers, managers, clients, and C-level executives. Ability to understand heterogeneous computer systems and integration capabilities. Demonstrated ability to apply IT in solving privacy/security problems. Knowledge and experience with ITIL principles desired. Expectation of ongoing, active knowledge and participation in Network Engineering related topics, best practices, and external organizations; demonstrated keen interest, knowledge, and communication of the latest developments in IT infrastructure and applications and their potential security implications and related exposures. Experience with LAN/WAN internetworking technology and architecture, including network Operating Systems and application protocols.
