Specific Job Description Work is performed at the customer site. The customer organization is looking for a well rounded individual with excellent organizational and communication skills. Responsibilities of the selected individual encompass a wide range of duties to include facilitating the design and outfitting of the operations center?s networking, communications, and physical infrastructure; installing, testing and fielding network, telecommunications and computer systems; and monitoring and maintaining deployed equipment. The organization has an operations area that is responsible for 24/7 service support. On the occasion where the operations system administrators need tier-2 support, the individual would be expected to troubleshoot and rectify problems after-hours and/or weekends. Candidate will interact with military, civilian, and management personnel. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Standard Job Description Designs and plans network communications systems. Provides specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture. Provides specific detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements. Conducts testing of network design. Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc. Evaluates and reports on new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network.
