Position Summary:
- Responsible for the installation and maintenance of network equipment in the company’s gateway
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- 1-3 years in a telecommunications environment
- Working knowledge of telecommunications networks and systems.
- Ability to work during maintenance window.
- Knowledge of cabling techniques.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Valid drivers license
Non-Essential Knowledge, Skill and Abilities:
- Attention to detail
- PC literacy
- Good communication skills - must be able to interact with associates, vendors and customers.
- Ability to perform daily duties with minimal supervision.
- Flexible
Work Environment:
- Network Operations Center, Company gateways and collocations
- Customer premises
Physical Demands: The physical demands of this position include sitting for extended periods of time, exceptional hearing, and written, visual and verbal communications ability. Note: Moderate physical activity to include ability to lift 50 pounds.
