About the organisation:
My client is a market leader in the network solutions industry and have just won multiple upgrade and migration projects with highly sought after clients from a variety of industries. Due to this recent growth, my client requires a network implementation engineer to handle the increased workload. These large complex data centre projects will include exposure to Voice, Data and Security based solutions
About the role:
This Network Implementation Engineering role requires a CISCO Engineer to perform both simple and complex migration work including integration activities with IP networks and associated infrastructure. This role will be required to perform some of the low level post-sale design, including the detailing of what is required for the implementations, such as agreed process, tools and methodology. On a day to day basis, however, there will be end to end performance management of the network, configuring the routers and switches, performing activations, completing IP Maps and updating databases.
Skills/requirements:
Proven experience implementing IP Networks through consultancy or Telco based organisations.
Solid understanding of LAN/WAN/Wireless/IPTEL technologies
Understand of IP VPN Network planning and designing
Have a minimum CCNA certification or above (CCNP/CCVP or equivalent work experience preferred)
Have excellent communication and customer service skills
Note - there will be scheduled out of hours work required for this position
