Network / Messaging Engineer – Investment Bank, Hong Kong recruitment
Working as part of a regionally aligned technical team, you will be responsible for the evaluation of existing architecture and implementation of new systems that will consolidate and unify the existing trading environment.
The engineering function support the planning of new upgrades and execution of systems migration and the support of the infrastructure.
Job Descrption:-
- Support of existing and new operating systems, messaging and network infrastrcture
- Implementation of new infrastructure through planning, execution and operational phases
- Creating a plan for testing and validation of new technology
- Identify areas of weakness in the current infrastructure and work with other technology teams to ensure risks are mitigated
- Working with Project Managers and stakeholders to ensure that timescales for the project remain accurate
Skills Required:-
- Strong knowledge of Unix or Linux operating system
- Detailed knowledge of messaging platforms within investment banking; TIBCO EMS would be particuarly desirable
- Strong knowledge of networks and firewall infrastructure
- Market data experience would be highly beneficial
- Good support and problem solving capability
