Specific Job Description Lockheed Martin is currently looking for a TNCC Watch Officer who possesses experience in communications software, hardware and networking. Candidate will succesfully collaborate on a team of 12 contractor employees providing 24x7 watch support to United States Southern Command in Miami Florida. The team monitors and analyze network characteristics to include network traffic, connect time, transmission speeds, packet sizes, throughput, etc. Candidate will collect metrics on network activity and will generate reports providing situational awareness to senior military leadership. The candidate will be responsible for achieving team objectives relative to monitoring the status of data and voice networks to detect and identify network outages and disruptions of service. This position may require second or third shift availability. DOD 8570 Compliance with applicable industry certifications required for the position at start or within 3 months of hire. Standard Job Description Monitors satellite network usage and capacity. Identifies and recommends solutions for smooth continuing operation of network as capacity needs change. Makes corrections to network configurations to ensure efficient operation. Monitors and documents traffic analysis. Monitors all hardware components to ensure terrestrial and possible satellite network communication facilities are operating at optimum levels.
