We're looking for a Network Operations Specialist to help us maintain day-to-day operations for a 24X7 operations facility that provides uninterrupted network services for customers and internal support. You must be willing to work a flexible schedule, with non-standard business hours, to include nights and weekends. Are you interested? Your primary responsibilities include monitoring of consisten data flow over RF/IF channels, maintain proper disk space allocation on Alpha cluster, maintain internaland external databases through the use of NMC software, knowledge and troubleshooting skills for cusotmer WAN?LAN, TCP/IP, Internet, Frame Relay and VPN connections. A background in VAX/VMX and Web Design/Database management is also recommended. To be successful in this role, you will need: Knowledge of web product platforms, server configurations, Internet firewalls, user end access, and remote access Knowledge of network connectivity via Ethernet that supports all network components. Excellent communications skills are required. Ability to work in an open environment and be able to travel also required. VAX/VMS/Unix/Linux skills are a plus. Schedule flexibility is a must.
