Network Operations Engineer recruitment
The Role
Bloomberg has an exciting opportunity to work in our Network Operations team. The Group is responsible for the 24/7 support of Bloomberg's EMEA Private Network Infrastructure. Our private network is supported by a talented team of Engineers who ensure that our customers have 24hr access to the Bloomberg Products. The team is looking for an experienced Networking Engineer to work on the day shift and provide technical support on Network Hardware and Servers.
Duties
* Support of the Bloomberg Private Wide Area Network for the EMEA region.
* Linux/Windows Server Support.
* Nortel, Cisco and Juniper Router Support.
* Vendor liaison.
* Clear and timely administration of internal ticket systems.
Requirements
Experience in Information Technology, Networking and Servers that form the Network Infrastructure is a must. The following experience is also essential:
* Server Qualification, Redhat Linux would be preferable.
* Network Qualification i.e. Cisco CCNA, Juniper JNCIA-M or equivalent.
* Confidence building Router/Switch configurations using Cisco, Juniper Nortel Hardware.
* Thorough understanding of TCP/IP call setup, teardown and trouble-shooting.
* Routing experience, Support and some Design of the following protocols: OSPF/RIP/BGP/MPLS
* Strong Project Management experience to include troubleshooting, planning installation and management to strict timescales.
