Position Duties/Responsibilities: 
Our client is looking for a Network Security Administrator to join our Technical Services Team. 
The Network Security Administrator will be primarily focused on deploying and supporting Juniper equipment, with some involvement in Cisco.
Initially, this position will be located out of the Frederick, MD campus, and will be relocated with our other corporate functions and services to Reston, Virginia in the next 4-6 months.
The Network Security Administrator will be responsible for the following duties and activities: 
Maintain and operate all LAN (Wired/Wireless), WAN, Acceleration and Firewall procedures for engineering  operations including detailed network diagrams as well as device configuration documents  templates 
Provide second level technical support for all LAN (Wired/Wireless) and WAN issues; work closely with the central and regional network support centers 
Provide occasional off-hours support 
Follow Change Management procedures 
The overall role of the Technical Services team is to deploy and provide the operational support for infrastructure technologies that connect the users experience to our back-end systems. These systems include load balancing, application delivery, and security. Specific technologies the team manages include: Citrix XennApp, Citrix Netscaler, Microsoft ISA server and Juniper and Cisco Firewalls. 
Basic Qualifications:
3+ years experience, knowledge of and familiarity with deploying and supporting network technologies including Juniper or Cisco equipment including firewalls, routers, switches, zoning, Access Control Lists and route filters. 
2+ years experience in LAN WAN technologies including Juniper NetScreen  SRX firewalls, NSM or Juno-Space, with actual experience in design, zoning, installation, configuration, and operation of these technologies. 
Additional Information:
Ability to provide solutions to complex LAN / WAN issues, firewall zoning  architecture 
Knowledge of network protocols, data flows, JUNOS and Cisco IOS, and vulnerabilities within a TCP/IP environment 
Knowledge of Ethernet connectivity, 802.1X, IPSec/SSL VPN, fully mesh enterprise mesh and non-mesh WAN topologies, etc 
Experience working with Inter-Exchange and LEC carriers to provision services  resolve problems 
Skilled in Project Management  coordination with inter-disciplinary teams 
Understanding of advanced technologies such as Encryption, QoS, policy based routing, 802.1x, WPA2, WAN accelerators  caching 
Experience working with various network equipment vendors investigating technologies, configurations  problem resolution including root cause analysis 
Proficiencies in configuring switches and routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF are desired 
Experience in implementing IP network in a Microsoft Environment, including, DNS, DHCP, Proxy and DHCP 
Excellent written communication skills with the ability to document technical processes 
Strong time management skills with a focus on quality service and dliverables 
Juniper JNCIA- Junos/FWV, Cisco CCNA Certification 
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, MIS or Engineering preferred
