Network Service Assurance – Group Technology Infrastructure Services recruitment
Network Service Assurance (NSA) is accountable for the UBS responsibilities necessary to correctly partner with CSC in delivering Management Network Services (MNS) for Infrastructure Service Delivery. This role is a member of the APAC Infrastructure Service Delivery (ISD) Management team and reports to ISD APAC Regional Manager based in Singapore.
The majority of Networks Service Delivery is outsourced to CSC via a long-term managed service agreement. Therefore Network Service Assurance must work closely in partnership with CSC on production stability, ongoing improvement, and project governance.
A summary of the Asia Pacific Networks environment:
- A multi-location team supporting data, security and voice systems, in a global banking environment.
- 4 major campuses, 13 major locations, and 39 remote branch offices.
- Approximately 15,000 user base across APAC including 4 large dealing floors.
- The Singapore and Hong Kong campus is 4000 users each, whilst the Tokyo and Sydney campus are 1500 each.
- The network is built as a highly scalable and available low latency trading environment built with a high end Cisco IP, Optical, Juniper firewall, F5 Firewall, Nortel PABX and Bluecoat Proxy equipment
- Multiple business units (Investment Bank, Asset Management, Wealth Management International). Of particular focus will be operational support of the WMI business that can only be fully managed within Singapore.
Key tasks and responsibilities include:
- Provide UBS representation to the Change Governance process for Network Service Delivery. Ensure the minimum acceptable levels of planning; testing, risk rating, and approval are followed.
- Jointly approve with CSC regional management the pipeline of projects to be added to the MNS Project Portfolio. Ensure the appropriateness of resourcing, project detail, and aggregated risk to maintain production stability with planned change.
- Jointly approve with CSC regional management the MNS Transformation pipeline while providing a clear deployment acceptance toll gate for PME. Ensure deployment readiness reviews of the technical designs of Transformation to formally handover complex projects from PME into ISD. Ensure the appropriateness of resourcing, scheduling, skills availability, project detail and aggregated risk to maintain production stability with complex technology change.
- Play a UBS facing role during Incident Management working closely with CSC regional management and the CSC Operations Manager to resolve incidents as quickly as possible. Be continuously informed of status and as severity increases, lead the technical working group facing off to UBS manager-in-charge and crisis teams.
- Co-partner with CSC on the Problem Management process to prevent reoccurrence, proactively identify environment risks, and drive ongoing service improvement. Be responsible for the internal UBS communication of progress and achievement, while working with other UBS IT partners on their responsibility toward Production Stability.
- Act as the Networks Service Delivery relationship manager interface for UBS departments seeking discussion concerning Networks. Work with the central UBS PMO on projects, programs, and presentations that will be communicated across UBS departments including Application Development, Infrastructure Service Leads, and Business Managers (COO, BMs).
Our ideal candidates should have the following requisites:
- A deep understanding of Network technology. They must be able to understand the technical issues they will face and determine if appropriate actions are being taken.
- Strong problem solving skills to deduce relevant information from multiple data sources. Prior experience with Infrastructure management a strong plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills at a management level. Expectation management with stake holders and senior management required.
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- The successful individual will form strong partnerships and work closely with the service delivery organization. It will be essential for the individual be good at bringing people together and fostering a team work attitude.
- Providing clear and concise reporting, presentations and communications to Senior IT management
- ITIL certification an advantage.
- Understanding of the Asia Pacific Telco landscape an advantage.

- F5 BIGIP load balancers
- MERIDIAN PBX’s
- Avaya Modular Messaging
- Dealer Voice (ITS, IPC, ETRALI) and NICE voice recorders.
