Network Support Specialist – Operations Telecommunications
Our client, a recognised Leader in Knowledge Management, require a Network Engineer, with a Telecommunications background, to join their Internal IT Team
To be considered for this role you will possess:
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline or equivalent work experience
- Cisco Certification – CCNA
- CCNP Desired but not essential
- ITIL Certified
- Current operational experience as a Level 3 support for a Global Network Infrastructure – LAN, WAN, Wireless LAN, Network Optimisation, Packet Shaping, QoS, Bandwidth Management, Load Balancing, Routing, Switching, DHCP and DNS.
- Experience in networking and general project management
- Previous experience with Incident, Change and Problem Management
- Experience with global or large size network infrastructures
Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Leading/assisting with network resolution in ticket assignment, oversight routing, escalation, user interfacing and resolution.
- Work with vendors and technology partners with carrier scheduling, including coordination and network outage maintenance dispatching in conjunction with other operations functional areas.
