About the Organisation
This leading outsourcer requires a Network Engineer due to growth within the business and new client wins. This significant project requires a security focused engineer to support the project work which will include both operations and delivery within this complex environment.
About the Role
The Network Security Engineer will contribute to the delivery and support across a Major Enterprise piece of work. On a day to day basis the engineer will be working across operations, technical leadership and SME skills within audits, working across compliance activities (including both the business and security compliance). In addition, the successful candidate will be required to work with the customer across the roll out of the network solutions.
The ideal candidate will have worked within a mixed project and Operational environment supporting Network and Firewall Technologies such as Cisco, Juniper, Checkpoint and Bluecoat proxy, who are comfortable with a client facing role and wanting to be part of an environment which will add value to their career.
Skill and experience required:
- Proven experience in a project and operational environment and enterprise sized projects
- Strong Technical Skills across core networking (routing and switches) as well as firewall (Juniper preferred, however Netscreen, Checkpoint, PIX and ASA are also used)
- Commercial experience with Bluecoat Proxy (highly regarded)
While this is not necessary, Crossbeam and Firefly Hardware experience will be highly regarded as well as F5 (some training and on the job support will be provided with these newer technologies)
- Excellent communication skills
