Our client manages and builds quality affordable homes across the East and West Midlands. They are a major new group made up of three high performing housing associations in the region, managing over 18,000 homes and aiming to build 1,000 new homes each year.
They are currently seeking a Data Network Engineer. This role sits within our ICT Team based at our Louth office and is responsible for working with the Systems and Infrastructure (SI) Manager and SI Analysts to deliver and support a modern and fit for purpose data and communications network that meets the needs of the business.
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or the equivalent and hold a CCNA (valid certificate) with previous experience of network support. You will have sound technical knowledge of LAN/WAN network equipment, technologies, protocols and communication standards and specialist knowledge of Firewall systems. Experience of the following is essential: network design and IP addressing architecture, VPN Wireless and remote access solutions, VoIP and data/unified communications, virtualization and unified computing technologies, implementing and managing network and system security, MS Windows 2008 R2, Active Directory and Remote Desktop.
With first class organisational skills you will have the ability to meet deadlines, problem solve and self motivate to achieve results. It is essential the successful candidate hold a driving licence and have use of a vehicle, is extremely flexible to work across the geographical area as required by the projects, and is able to work outside normal office hours as required by tasks that are to be run outside of core times.
