IT Support Technician/ Help Desk Support / 1st Line IT Support Engineer / IT Support Analyst

Oswestry, North Shropshire

£16,500 - £18,000 pa depending on experience

Fixed term contract – 9 months

 

Our client is one of UK’s largest importer, distributor and manufacturer of hardwood flooring and accessories.

 

They currently have an exciting opportunity for a determined, customer focussed IT Support Technician to join their IT team in Oswestry. In this role you will provide helpdesk support to our internal customers by responding to calls received via their helpdesk software, and supporting them to diagnose and fix problems. You will also be required to update the systems, installing new hardware and software whilst maintaining documentation of systems.

 

The successful candidate will be a role model for the team providing a high level of customer service when under pressure. You will hold Microsoft desktop and server certifications, although additional training will be given. Some experience of second line helpdesk support would be advantageous. You will have the ability to develop and provide self-help tools and improve the level of service at which users are able to resolve their own issues. A practical problem solver, you will be committed to the continuous improvement of our systems and work together with other team members to help build effective working relationships.
