Power Station / Production Manager

Our client is a global manufacturing company.
They now have an opportunity for an experienced Production Manager to manage operations within the Redcar Power station via multi skilled power station shift teams and day operations personnel. You will ensure uninterrupted supply of Blast Air, Blast Furnace, Process and Heating steam to the site, as well as recommending improvements, training the workforce and ensuring all technical objectives are achieved so to create optimum productivity and in line with business and cost objectives. You will also guarantee legal compliance in relation to a number of regulations, including but not limited to, Process Safety requirements including ongoing compliance with the COMAH regulations.
The ideal candidate will be qualified to degree level, or equivalent in experience, in a technical or engineering discipline, preferably within power generation industry. Specific knowledge of Power station operations is a must, as is an awareness of safety, legislation and application of a turbo blower and generating station. You must be an excellent communicator, who can effectively lead a team, and have a sound knowledge of customer requirements.
