Our client own and manage over 8,500 properties from Devon to Sedgemoor.

 

They now have an exciting opportunity for a Scheme Manager to join their Retirement Living Team. The main responsibility for this role will to be managing the four Retirement Living Schemes, ensuring health and safety is of the highest standard. Working within the Retirement Living team you will liaise with other members of the department to deal with uprising issues and also promote and develop the events and activities to target the wider community. Other responsibilities within the role will be to welcome and induct new residents into the scheme and to be involved within the allocation process working alongside Housing Officers.

 

The successful candidate for the role will to be caring and patient and have a flexible attitude to working hours as often events will take place in support of the scheme. Excellent communication skills are essential, as you will be dealing with people on a face-to-face basis and need to work as part of a team in an efficient and professional manner. You will be educated to GCSE level or equivalent including Maths and English and although not essential a certificate in Supported Housing or similar would be desirable. A good listener with excellent organisational skills, you will have a good knowledge of IT skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel. Friendly and outgoing, you will be adaptable, with the ability to use good judgement and discretion as appropriate.

 

A driving licence is essential, as you will be required to undertake regional travel when necessary.

 

Due to the nature of this post, the successful applicant will have their background checked with the CRB to ensure suitability.
