Asbestos Coordinator / Surveyor

Our client is a charitable housing association providing homes, care and support across Yorkshire.

 

They currently have an exciting opportunity for an Asbestos Coordinator to join their team based in Bradford. Working within the Investment Team and closely with the Health and Safety department your main responsibility will be to ensure current legislative requirements are met with respect to existing asbestos within their stock. Within this role you will provide an efficient and professional consultancy service ensuring individual projects are designed, brought to site and completed on target.

 

Other responsibilities within the role will include acting as a subject matter expert to staff, customers and stake holders and collating, managing and maintaining the quality of data within their asbestos register. Using your confident manner and fluent communication skills you will assist in the design, delivery and evaluation of training others to be aware of the potential hazards involved with asbestos.

 

The successful candidate for the role will have previous experience in a similar position and ideally be qualified in P405 Management of Asbestos in buildings. You will have experience of on-site supervision and quality control of asbestos removal works. With a proactive and practical attitude towards decision making you will promote communication between staff, customers and contractors. 

 

Experienced in managing budgets and effective programme management skills will certainly help to exceed in this challenging role, this coupled with housing repair and maintenance field experience will make you the ideal candidate for this role. Using your experience of working with IT applications such as word processing, spread sheets and databases will ensure efficient and precise reports and logs are kept.

 

Due to the nature of the role a full UK driving licence is required.
