As Manager, Technology at Sapient Global Markets, you will help to realize high-end technology solutions for our clients in the financial and commodities trading industry. You will lead a multidisciplinary, international project team and manage the development, design, user interface, technology integration, and site architecture management. Moreover, in this hands-on managing consultant role you will engage in business development, as well as in building and maintaining client relationships.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Work closely with clients to establish technology solutions at business and technical level.
· Lead the design, estimation, planning, and implementation of business solutions that require IT system(s).
· Interact with business stakeholders to provide technical solutions delivering to business needs.
· Consult clients' senior technical leaders on best practice point of view.
· Establish high, mid and micro level plans working with a Project Manager.
· Provide leadership to an international, multidisciplinary team of up to 20 members.
- Help build client relationships and participate in business development and proposal work.
· Deliver compelling presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
· Broad experience in enterprise architecture, systems integration, package implementation, and/or interactive design.
- Experience in a consulting or client-facing role.
- Experience in the Investment Banking, Capital Markets, Asset Management and /or Commodities (Energy) trading industry highly desired.
· Broad experience in architecting and delivering applications for areas such as Fixed Income, Equities, FX, Commodities or Hedge Funds preferred.
- Systems experience from any of the following vendors a major plus: OLF / Endur, Solarc, Murex, Calypso, Sophis, Summit.
- Broad, hands-on knowledge of OO software development and multiple technologies such as C#, .NET, WCF, Java/J2EE, C/C++, relational databases (ie. Oracle, Sybase, MS SQL Server, IBM DB2), Middleware Platforms (eg. TIBCO, Mule), Enterprise Solution Packages (ie. EAI, CMS, portals) and ie. Agile, RUP, UML and Design Patterns.
· Expert in Core C#/.NET fundamentals especially Collections, GC, events and delegates, Multi-threading and Generics.
· Expert understanding of new language features like LINQ and lambda expressions.
· Broad experience in at least one IOC Container and Mock Framework, NAnt and NUnit.
· Expert in one or more Relational Databases: Oracle, MS SQL Server, Sybase.
· Excellent knowledge of OOAD, UML, Design Patterns and Data Structures.
- Experience in WPF and/or Silverlight with WCF using MVC, MVP and MVVM and RIA data/web services and familiarity with UI/UE design and implementation.
- Good understanding of the project lifecycle process, able to define a comprehensive solution leading towards a common vision.
· Proven project and team leadership skills leading teams with up to 20+ members.
· Very good communication, problem solving and presentation skills.
· Openness to frequent overnight travel and work at client offices.
