New Business Analyst, CFO Change – 9 Month Contract recruitment
Role Summary:
- To execute the deployment, set up and/or building of Finance systems and processes (close the books, product control, local and group regulatory reporting, local statutory accounting and group financial reporting and disclosures) to accommodate new business initiatives such as new entity set up and new product execution
- To ensure the infrastructure and processes deployed or built to accommodate new business initiatives meet the requirements required for the CFO function to provide new business sign-off for the new business initiative to go to market
- Complete feasibility studies to determine the scope and timetable for delivery of a new business project (Key deliverable: Impact on Finance of proposed CFO archtecture, Budget request, Proposed timetable for CFO implementation)
- Determine the CFO system architecture to be deployed for the specific requirements fo the new business initiative (Recommended CFO architecture)
- Determine the CFO requirements and the solutioning of those requirements through system set up, configuration and development (Business requirement document)
- Prepare test plans and co-ordinate the execution of user acceptance testing by the Financial Accoutning and Product Control departments providing CFO services for the new business initiative (Test plan, Test cases with expected results, Defect register and resolution plan)
- Determine and co-ordinate the execution of system deployment in a production environment
- Complete post implementation reviews to determine Day 2 resolution of sub-optimal processes in solutioning CFO requirements (sub-optimal process register and resolution plan)
- Accountancy qualification and an understanding of US GAAP and IFRS requirements for the accounting of derivatives and financial instruments
- Project Management and/or Project Business Analysis experience
- 5+ years experience in Finance Line role and/or Finance Change role
- Investment Banking product knowledge (Derivatives - Interest Rate, Credit, Commodity, FX and Securities and structured products) and the CFO processes typically required to support such processes
- Strong communication (written, verbal, presentational) skills
