New Business Approvals – Operational Risk and Control recruitment

The core part of the role will to conduct due diligence and governance of New Business / Products (NPS) proposals.

The role will also include work on various projects led by the Central Risk Control team.

You will:

· Work closely with the EMEA NPS Operations Co-ordinator to facilitate and conduct Operations due diligence for all EMEA originated NPS proposals in a controlled manner

· Attend New Product presentation meetings with the Front Office teams and other Infrastructure areas (e.g Credit Risk, Legal, Market Risk, Compliance, Regulatory Reporting, Tax, etc)

. Produce the Ops due diligence document necessary to evidence Ops end to end review and approval, including step by step deal and process flows, agreed roles and responsibilities across the various Ops teams, with relevant Operations stakeholders sign-offs

. Identify, engage and work in partnership with the various Operations teams across asset classes to facilitate and, where required, project manage the NPS due diligence
Assist with the consolidation and documentation of key risks and issues (and their resolution) as well as conditions agreed to support the new products such as: handholding of first trades, technology enhancement requirements and product scope restriction

. Produce weekly and monthly MI as well as ad hoc Reporting for the Management Team to highlight key issues and mitigation measures agreed

. Monitor of actions and conditions related to NPS approvals to ensure these are not overdue

. Prepare Post Implementation Reviews and create a lesson learned culture to improve existing model

. Project support in a number of Risk and Control / Governance driven initiatives that will help create a more controlled or efficient environment for the firm.

The ideal candidate will be:

. A qualified accountant, or at least 5 years relevant
industry experience

. Have experience in the management of operations projects and the delivery of business support solutions in an Investment Bank

. Show Project Management experience

. Experienced in and exposure to Senior management and execution of infrastructure solutions to support changes for the investment banking business

. Have knowledge of Investment Banking products preferred (e.g. commodities, equity derivatives, loans, rates, structures products)

. Posses excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to communicate at different level across the organisation

. Show strong interpersonal skills and approachable
