NEW BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT / MARKETING MANAGER, MARKET DEVELOPMENT MANAGER, NEW MARKET SPECIALIST / ANALYST / CONSULTANT, PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA
Employing more than 3500 people with over 25 manufacturing facilities worldwide, our client is a global leader in the design, manufacture and supply of engineered solutions and provides a diverse range of products to their customers. With an overall group turnover of $750m they have the capability to dramatically expand into new markets and are looking for an outstanding candidate who can drive this process.
The successful incumbent will initially study key global growth markets not currently serviced by our client to create an effective business development strategy. The key purpose of the role is to analyse and then create growth within ‘Greenfield / whitespace’ markets. This is a high profile appointment, reporting directly to the VP of Sales and Marketing.
An analytical approach is an essential component of the role coupled with an energetic and creative attitude. You will be required to analyse and advise the client on new market penetration in a global environment and work with the development team to modify or create new products to supply and satisfy these customer requirements.
Responsibilities will include; the study of key global growth markets, such as the renewable energy, energy storage and composites sectors, travel with the global sales team to understand customer requirements and market conditions and ongoing new business development within target market sectors.
The successful incumbent will need to be:
- Degree qualified in a relevant field.
- Experience within a global manufacturing company environment is preferable.
- Ability to effectively analyse and understand new markets and customer requirements.
- 3-5+ years of successful new business development, specifically within new markets as well as existing.
- Outstanding verbal and written communicative ability.
