Join Santander and you'll become a vital part of a business built on the outstanding service provided to our customers, as well as the award-winning products we offer. We're one of the fastest growing banks in the UK and that is down to our people. And we recognise that as we help you develop your career you'll be doing the same for our business.
IGC is a fast paced and strategically important function within San UK, with an objective to identify, intervene and take corrective action where conduct risk issues, poor customer outcomes or failures are identified. This not only reflects San UK's commitment to our customers, but also reflects and builds upon the approach being adopted by the FCA.
In order to meet this objective, the function is further structured into three distinct teams. The Product Office takes responsibility for ensuring that a robust, well controlled, and effective process is in place for the approval and oversight of all new products within San UK, as well as undertaking on-going holistic product performance monitoring.
The Remediation Team engages where significant conduct risks issues or failures have been identified, and coordinates project management activities across San UK to ensure the appropriate progression, policy changes, resolution and reporting of these issues takes place.
Finally, Internal Governance ensures a strong risk and control environment is maintained, adopting process and control reviews to analyse risks and evaluate control effectiveness, undertaking deep dive or other targeted reviews, coordinating with key business stakeholders, and carrying out other activities, as directed by the Head of Internal Governance and Control.
