 I have been retained by two exceptional clients; A Tier One US Investment Bank and a very successful High Frequency Quantitative Hedge Fund with unprecedented access to the markets. They are working on a similar mandate: building out the algorithmic trading business, focusing predominantly (but not explicitly) on HFT for the FX and Futures market.

This requirement is for several exceptional quants / quant programmers / quant developers to build out a number of Greenfield Trading Systems as they look to expand into new business areas, following on from unprecedented returns in the market.

The role will involve developing execution frameworks and exchange connectivity as well as developing trading models and algorithms to predict price movements within the markets. All this development will involve low-level programming techniques and latent critical design and development.

As a result, for the infrastructure and development of trading systems, they are interested in speaking to experienced programmers / quants with a background in latency critical systems, design and development of low level/socket programming. My client is somewhat “language agnostic” – for them it is more important to speak to people from a top University (Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial, MIT, Princeton, Stanford, Harvard, MIPT) who have had significant exposure to HFT and/or algorithmic trading.
