New York – Long/Short Equity Hedge Fund

 
An expansive, market leading Equity Long/Short Hedge Fund is seeking an exceptional Equity Analyst. The fund are centred on alpha generation and absolute return based in New York is looking to take on an experienced buyside equity analyst to play a key role in their highly-skilled research team.

The fund has currently accumulated $5.1 Billion in AUM since inception in 2007 and has seen steady growth each year, so it is an ideal time to be joining such a prestigious firm. You will be sat on the research desk covering equities from a long/short angle reporting directly to the Co-Founders and Partners – both highly established former Top-Tier Investment Bankers. There is currently a team of 14 in the Hedge Fund and so what they would like to bring is a value-generating fundamental bottom-up equity analyst to complete.

 

Key responsibilities you will undertake on a day-to-day basis

-          Actively carrying out autonomous research on market and sector specific investments and stocks

-          Taking on a fundamental, bottom-up approach to stock picking so you have thorough and in-depth knowledge of the investment sphere

-          Gathering and presenting research to highly-regarded and successful Fund Managers through powerpoint and vocal presentations

-          Researching and Modelling stock selections through key analysis and due diligence

 

This is an ideal opportunity for Equity Research Analysts to join an expanding Hedge Fund which has seen constant Asset under Management growth and top quartile performance year by year.

-          Buyside Experienced – the Hedge Fund will only look at experienced people from current analyst roles at Hedge Funds or Asset Manager’s

-          Confident to add value to the desk both in research and performance.

-          Stable record of employment showing a clear progression of responsibility.

-          A decisive stock selector in order to be comfortable making decisions using qualitative and fundamental research.

-          Capable of writing concise and logically argued research reports in a timely manner, sometimes to tight deadlines. 

-          Sharp and intelligent in research approach and stock-picking. A minimum 2:1 from University is essential.

-          A team player, with sound interpersonal and communication skills.
