Hays are currently recruiting for a qualified and experienced NHS Education Manager to work for a local Ambulance Trust in the South of England. You will be reporting to the Education Team Manager and the University Practice Education Team Manager to help provide, support and facilitate high quality education and training (clinical and non-clinical), to members of the Trust, both within the Education Centres and in an operational capacity. You will work in conjunction with Area Managers, Emergency Service Managers, Team Leaders and Clinical Mentors, providing clinical advice, guidance and support where needed.
Other aspects of the role will require you to:
· Be responsible for an education portfolio within the education workflow, and assume subject matter expertise for an allocated and identified specialism
· Support the Team Managers in the implementation of the Trusts educational strategic plan
· Provide best practice advice in a clinical setting for mentors and staff in relation to clinical practice and governance
· Maintain strong working relationships with all directorates of the Trust
· Liaise and support all aspects of education within the Trust
· Participate in the recruitment process
· Participate in the development of clinical and non-clinical training programmes
The role is based in Boars Hill (Oxford) and is 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday. A full induction and training program will be offered to successful candidates, but you must already have experience of teaching/lecturing and leading groups within a classroom based and operational environment.
Ideally, we are looking for candidates from a strong clinical background. You must hold a professional registration (either HCPC or NMC) with 5 years post registration including preceptorship with demonstrable experience.
You must also have:
· Degree level education or equivalent experience gained through work
· Postgraduate qualification in education or mentorship or equivalent experienced gained through work
