Position: Applications Analyst

Contract: 12 months

Location: Mississauga, ON (401 Dixie)

Procom is currently seeking a Applications Analyst for one year contract; this position will be based out of our Creekside (Mississauga) facility.

Implementation Services, part of Infrastructure Technology Solutions - Engineering, is situated on the critical path of application and infrastructure implementations. The Business Application Services teams are responsible for deploying, updating support documentation and perform operational testing of the Bank’s business applications. As a member of the Business Application Services team, you will be primarily responsible for operational testing and deployment of application change into the production environment. The team works with various distributed technologies/applications (UNIX, Windows, WebSphere and AS400).

This position requires a candidate with a strong technical background with some fundamental understanding/experience with application testing.

We need candidates with strong breadth of technical knowledge, fundamental understanding of Development (does not need to be a Developer), knowledge of Application/Infrastructure testing, such as operational testing, non-functional testing; strong infrastructure background, preferably from an enterprise environment, preferably in a financial/ banking environment.

Must have:
• 5+ yrs of experience with Windows platform environment
• 5+ yrs of experience of UNIX / AIX environment
• 2+ yrs of Middleware components such as WebSphere, Oracle, or WebLogic
• 2+ yrs of experience with UNIX based scripting (Shell / Perl)

Nice to have:
• 2+ years of experience or exposure to PAT (Production Acceptance Testing) and Production environments
• Experience with or exposure to Remedy / Heat / Clarity (an Incident and Change Management tracking to Tool / Ticketing Tool (internally client uses Unicentre Service Desk (USD))
• 2+ years of experience using MKS/VSS (vendor product for Central Repository System), a tool used to go from Development to PAT and Production

Specific Educational Requirements/Accreditations:
MCSE certification, or 5 + years experience in related Information technology field.

Due to the nature of this role, there may be some occasions for on-call / off-hours / occasional weekends as required. Hiring manager will discuss in detail during interview
