TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities:
· Placement and execution of customer orders
· Provide a broking service for Listed Derivatives and Equities
· Achieve best execution for customers
· Improve levels of business passing through desk and improve profitability
· Promote Newedge as a Company
· Maintain and develop relationships with clients
· Keep up to date with knowledge of new products/procedures on the various exchanges
· Report fills to clients and ensures correct trade details are passed to the support areas.
· Adhere by the Newedge “Golden Rules” (issued on joining) and comply with desk mandates and procedures.
· Ensure that relevant exchange registrations are obtained and maintained.
· Other projects and duties as assigned
SUPERVISION DUTIES:
None
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED:
Market Skills:
· Must have market knowledge and experience in the industry
· Ability to make use of the above knowledge
· Sound numerical ability and literacy skills
· IT skills are required to understand and use trading and communication tools such as Bloomberg, and any relevant ISV’s
· Excellent communication/marketing/sales skills
· Series 3 registration or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire
· Detail oriented
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
Regulatory Skills:
· Needs to have good understanding of the regulatory framework in the UK and globally
· Needs to understand the regulations applicable to the performance of the role
· Needs to build a good working relationship with compliance and other control functions
· Role holder must have unquestioned fitness propriety, integrity
